Department of Geography Newsletter

Thanks to the efforts of Dr.Joni Storie, the Department of Geography has reincarnated its newsletter. The previous incarnation, Dirty Earth, was last published back in the 1970s. After a thought provoking “name the newsletter contest”, GeoMatters was voted as the title for the newsletter. GeoMatters will be published twice a year; one edition each for the Fall and the Winter terms.

The newsletter is available to anyone with an interest in geography. It is available here as a download or you can receive a copy by e-mail (please fill out the form below). You can also keep up with us on Facebook (Department of Geography University of Winnipeg) or on Twitter (UWinnipeg Geography).

The fourth issue is now available for download. This issue continues its celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Department. This issue focuses on the development of the Department facilities from a one-room lab in the basement of Manitoba hall to the state-of-the-art facilites we enjoy today.Special thanks to Dr. John Ryan who was one of the archietects of our facililties.
